Rocket League Partnership

It’s no secret that F-150 is Built Ford Tough.  But Ford needed to prove its strength to a new audience  - those who weren’t spending their days on a work site.  So, we went to where they were.  Working with emerging media agency D20 and game developer Psyonix, Ford became the presenting sponsor of the Rocket League Championship Series Winter Majors, an event that showcased the world’s best players. Then, they announced what fans had been begging for – the first ever truck in game.  A few days later, to give them even more cred, they created the Rocket League + Ford Freestyle Invitational. A first of its kind event where the top freestylers in the country showed off their moves in the F-150 RL edition.  The live streamed event was big hit with over 3M Twitch views and 49M impressions.  And  the F-150 was downloaded over a million times.  Fans ate it up.  After the massive success, Ford released and an IRL F-150 Rocket League at the Chicago Auto Show. 

This project was a massive collaboration between emerging media agency D20, content creators Pretty Bird, game developer Psyonix and GTB.
